Richard & Monica

Sept 21st 2005 - It was on this date that I (Richard) attended my first team drink up with my a new team from work. I
thought it would be a chance to met the people on team, introduce myself and generally get to know everyone.
What I didn't expect was to meet a woman I woud want to spend the rest of my life with.

To begin with Monica decided that she wasn't interested in a becoming a 'couple'. However after a bit of time (and a
carefully selected bunch of flowers placed outside her front door after an 6 am finish from work) Monica decided to
risk a date. This took place in Cafe Rouge, St Albans and took the form of a lunch (again after finishing work at 6
am.) Things grew from there and I ended up spending so much of my time at her place it seemed only natural to
move in.

6 months after meeting Monica we found ourselves back in Cafe Rouge, St Albans - this time in the evening. What
followed was a fantasic meal and a few bottles of wine. Oh, and of course, my asking Monica to marry me. Luckily
she agreed and we started to plan our future.

Another 6 months later, Monica and I decided to start a new life in her parents country land of Ireland. We sold up
and moved within a short period of time to live in Loughrea, Co. Galway, Republic of Ireland.
